The donation will go to Exodus’ global Community Kickstart Project, which was created to support those hit hardest by the effects of the past 16 months in destinations heavily reliant on tourism dollars.
The global community has been affected by the COVID-19 virus, with the most significant impact being felt by the world’s most vulnerable. This impact includes people who have welcomed Exodus travelers into their communities for 46 years. Unfortunately, many were concerned not only by the virus but by the considerable lack of tourism dollars.
The global initiative provides funds for the following projects and many more.
- Meals for the vulnerable people of Kathmandu, Nepal
- Food packages for families of the porters of Peru’s Inca Trail
- Education and school openings for kids in Zambia
- Essential hygiene and school packets for families along the Mekong Delta, Laos
